I was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. I grew up an active outdoor kid and continue to love being outside exploring our beautiful state. I have always been interested in the sciences and especially how the body worked. I wanted to help people through natural means and physical therapy seemed like the right canvas. I took an unusual path to PT school, but honed my skills using the scientific process while earning a BS in Chemistry from the University of Montana in 2002. I went on to achieve my Doctorate in Physical therapy with distinction from Pacific University in 2005.
I have worked in outpatient orthopedics for the duration of my career. I have taken advanced training in manual therapy, Pilates for Rehabilitation, Functional Dry Needling and specialty training to sharpen my ability to diagnosis and treat problems at their source. I am the only PT in Montana who has completed the Integrated Systems Model Series taught by world renowned Physiotherapist Diane Lee. I have a unique way of looking at the body, you won’t find at another clinic in the state.
I believe in the body’s innate ability to heal, but that sometimes it needs a little help finding the way. I love learning and believe it’s a lifelong journey, not a destination. I continue to build my skill set and fill my tool box with focus on visceral and neural manipulation and cranio-sacral therapy. As my practice has evolved, it has become increasingly incompatible with a standard insurance based model. Through the desire for flexibility to treat my clients as a whole person with unique needs and goals, I decided to take the leap into Private Practice. And so, Inertia Physiotherapy was born in October 2019!!
